I
have not been able to trace a marriage record for John Wallace and Elizabeth
Cripps other than the civil registration record for which you already have the
reference. If you would like a copy
of this, you will need to order it from the General Register Office. It can be done by telephone and you can
pay by credit card on +44 870 243 7788.
The cost will be £8.50 and you will need to give the
references.
<>I
did find a baptism for an Elizabeth Cripps, daughter of Stephen and Sarah, in
Bucklebury on 11 January 1818. As
Bucklebury became part of Bradfield civil registration district, this would
support your theory that John Wallace who married in Bradfield is the 'right'
one. Unfortunately we do not have
any marriage records for Bucklebury after early 1837, so I cannot
confirm from parish records that she
married John. The civil
registration record should contain the names of their fathers, however, and the 1851 census gives her
birthplace as Bucklebury. >
I
attach an order form for printouts of the latest batch. Please print, complete and return it as
before, and authorise a payment of
£15.90.
Would
you like me to trace William Wallis or the Jeromes
next?
<>>
Yours
sincerely
